Ghostly Boo Quilt Block PatternI haven’t made a Halloween themed quilt before, so I thought it would be fun to make a nice simple ghost one. Ghostly Boo is a really simple block to make and reminds me of the PacMan ghost; I am a child of the 80s after all. Each block finishes at 12″ so I decided to make 20 ghosts and have a 4 x 5 block layout. I used different colours for the eyes to give a hint of Rainbow (I can’t help myself). It was a lovely quick finish and was gifted to my sister-in-law who is a mad Halloween fan.
I’ve created a download PDF for the block pattern so you can print it and keep it close to your sewing machine / cutting table. Simply click on the link and it will open, then either print or download. |
As you can see I also added in a special little Boo, made with some black and white fabric. It reminded me of that last minute panic when you have to create a costume out of what ever is lying around. In the case of a ghost costume its the whitest looking sheet you can find. I’d love to see a vintage sheet combination of Ghostly Boo blocks.
I’d love to see any you make use the #paulasteel.quilts and/or tag me @paulasteel.quilts on Instagram. I wouldn't want to face this line of ghosts in Pac-Man
