Sew Along - Starts 10th January

The Sew Along last year was a huge success and we really enjoyed the community that was built. So this year we'll be hosting another sew along. It will be a bit less structured but will include the Zoom sessions and lots of encouragement to help you along the way. 

The Sew Along starts on the 10th January and lasts for six weeks. Over those six weeks we'll have tips, tricks & videos to help you along the way. Come back here at the beginning of each week and you'll see a new post with some helpful info. Also remember to follow me @paulasteel.quilts and Lisa @modernquiltclub to see how we got on.

  • 10th January - Week One - Cutting out 
  • 17th January - Week Two - Block building or strip making
  • 24th January - Week Three - Block building
  • 31st January - Week Four - Block building
  • 7th February - Week Five - Block building
  • 14th February - Week Six - Quilt Top Finish

Rainbow Remix is a quilt collaboration between Paula Steel Quilts and Lisa from the Modern Quilt Club. The patterns have been designed using the Sun Prints Luminance  collection by Alison Glass for Andover Fabrics and are beginner friendly. The collection includes nine colours each in three shades, giving a real depth on rainbow brilliance. 

Forever procrastinators we couldn’t actually settle on just one pattern so you’ll be getting two different patterns, hence the remix name. And don’t worry you don’t have to decide when you are ordering, you get both patterns included, so put the decision on hold until the fabric is in your hands and you’ve got some time to think. If like us you really can’t decide which quilt to make and want to make both then there are a limited number of double kits, where you get enough fabric to make both quilts.

The quilt kit comes with all of the fabric you need to make either pattern and enough left overs to make a scrappy binding. Like last year they’ll also be some surprises in there too, although probably not a surprise it will include a sticker. ​
 
The quilt kits will ship mid November and we are working away behind the scenes to bring you an all singing - all dancing sew along in January, including the popular Zoom sessions. So, if you're looking for a super Xmas present then get the kit on the list and join us in January.
