Let's Get Ready !

Picture
Ok so before we start actually sewing we need to get our fabrics ready. For this quilt we are looking for 8 colours to create a rainbow and 2 background fabrics. You'll find the fabric requirements below and some really helpful videos if you need some extra advice around buying fabric or making a rainbow.
Fabric Requirements:
  • 8 Colours - 1 Fat eight * of each
  • White Background - ½m or ½ yard
  • Grey Background - ¾m or ¾ yard
  • Backing fabric - 1m or 1¼ yard
  • Binding Fabric - ½m or ½ yard

NOTE - These requirements leave you a bit extra fabric, so if you have a oopsie then it won't be a problem.

* Alternative - As we will be cutting 2½" strips you could use a Jelly Roll strip for the rainbow colours, if you have some left over.
